Charred Skelly Cypress Cube

DESCRIPTION

The Skelly Cube is made directly from a tree trunk, carved by hand and preserved with the ancient Japanese technique of Shou Sugi Ban, the art of preserving wood using fire.

The finish, the result of the charring, is lustrous and silky. This procedure, ecological and completely natural, protects the wood by making the surface waterproof and so ideal for outdoors.

The Skelly Cube is a versatile addition to ones home that fits perfectly in the living room, hallway or as a bedside table. The timber, cypress, has a strong aromatic scent and is known for its uplifting and energising properties.

Any movements, changes in the appearance of the wood are the result from the natural settlement of the wood.
